Want to see something I created?

This is a sandblasted tile wall. I Sandblasted all the tiles. (Well there are 30 blanks) I hand cut out each of the hundreds and hundreds of letters. Sure wish I had my cricut then. Took me several days to do all this. It is a wall in a School here in Houston, TX. The school build the extension on to the entrance and my wall is on the right when you enter. I got to see it today for the first time thanks to my great friend Benjee and her Husband Albert. I was thrilled to see it completed. I did all of the sandblasting and gave the school back the tiles and they created this wall . I was very impressed with the final results. I got to take pictures today. Sorry, not the best pictures but I have pictures finally. YAY!!!

I have been sandblasting for almost 30 years. Does that make me sound old? I'm 42 now started when I was 12. I love sandblasting. You can take an ordinary piece of glass and make it something extraordinary. I just love it. I sandblast, Glass, Granite, Tile, Slate, Marble, rocks and Agate slices at the moment, who knows what I'll find to try in the future. Anyway, I'll try to post more of my work for everyone to see.

Have a great evening.

This is Callaway. She is my baby. The hat was not posed. She actually climbed in a box of stuff we had bought to donate to older children at Christmas. She always has to be where her mom is. anyway, I was getting stuff ready to donate and she crawls outta the box with the hat on. I picked her up and yelled for my son to get the camera. I had to have it emailed back to me because I have lost my original file. But I'll find it. She is adorable. She is almost 5. She is a handful, but I got exactly what I wanted when I got her. A dog that is mine and loves me no matter what. She is always right beside me. She acts more like a cat then a dog. She sleeps around my head and crawls on the back of furniture to sleep. She lays on the table with my cricut machine. My scrapbooking buddy. Right now she is asleep across the top of my feet. I just love her to pieces.

Happy Father's Day, June 21, 2009

Well, Happy Father's Day!!!

Tommy called this morning and the dogs wished him a Happy Father's Day and told him to call back cause they were sleepy. Funny, they are not sleepy all night, Yes, my dogs talk to my husband. Alli loves to huff in the phone at him. Petie sniffs alot and Callaway will actually rumble at him.
Picture was of Alli giving her dad a big kiss. She loves her dad.

This is Alli. Can you see her? She hides in all her stuffed animals and jumps out and scares the other two. The purple elephant in lumpy, he is one of her favorites. She takes him outside everyday. Mom has to bring him back in everyday, but she loves him. She also has alot of pink pigs. She likes pink and purple toys the most, and she loves pigs. The big dog covering here is one of two we got the dogs for Christmas about 7 or 8 years ago. She lays on them alot. She is quite a character. She was named Alli after Alli McBeal, the TV show. She fell in a hole one day after we got her and jumped up and looked around to make sure no one saw her and so the name fit and she has been Alli every since. We call her Alli girl, Alligator, Brat, Fatty Mc Fat Fat, Evil, Spoiled, Beautiful and Daddy's girl. She responds to most of them. She is our problem child. She is Diabetic and losing her eyesight. She gets shots of insulin twice a day and is really pretty easy going about it. She knows when the alarm on my phone goes off it is time for her shot. She's 9 1/2 years old and a big pain in the behind most of the time, but I love her to pieces. I'll post more pictures of her and the other two later.
Bye for now,
Lori

Disney Countdown

Well, most of you that know me know I love Disney. Pretty much all things Disney. Anyway, my sweet hubby is taking me back to Disney in September to celebrate my 43rd birthday and our 15th Wedding anniversary. I am sooooooo excited. I went to Disney World for the first time in December of 2007. We were there for 5 nights and 5 days. Not nearly enough time for a first time visit. I missed so much. But, you can bet I'm ready for it this time. We are down to 98 days. I can make our Dining resrevations on the 29th. I can hardly wait. I took over 3000 pictures last time. I know I went alittle crazy, but I never thought I'd get to go back. We are gonna be there for 7 nights 8 days. We got Free Dining, so that's even better. Well, off to dream about Disney. If you have any suggestions on anything Disney, let me know.
